The Rotary Club of Haddonfield Foundation provides support to charitable tax exempt organizations with a 501(c)(3) designation based on established criteria (see below).  In addition, financial assistance to accomplished students and veterans with financial need in Haddonfield and nearby communities who are planning to further their education in a university, college, vocational, or other tertiary setting.
Ways to Give
The ability of the Club's Foundation to award meaningful scholarships to high school students, and grants to service organizations with important missions depends entirely upon donations, sponsorships and grants.   Contributions in the form of unrestricted gifts are especially appreciated.  Since the Foundation is operated under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, gifts to the Rotary Club of Haddonfield Foundation may be deductible for income-tax purposes.
Contributions to support our Mission are welcome anytime.
Those wishing to discuss potential contributions, bequests or other planned giving should contact Mary Ann Bigelow, Chair of the Club's Foundation, at 855-816-5798.

The Foundation was incorporated in 2001 as a New Jersey nonprofit corporation to be operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes.  The affairs of the Foundation are managed by a Board of Trustees whose members are all members of the Rotary Club of Haddonfield. The current officers are Mary Ann Bigelow (Chair), Charles Hart (Vice-Chairman), Sharon Reel (Secretary), and Gerry Nanos (Treasurer).  Vin Parker is the Administrator.

Permanent Fund
The permanent fund is sustained by contributions from members of the Rotary Club of Haddonfield Foundation and other generous donors.
Often contributions are made in honor of, or in memory of, Rotarians and their family members. A major donation by the children of Clay Morrell, a former member of the Club who served as president in the early 1980s, led to the awarding of a number of scholarships for achievement in the arts. Bill Garwood, a devoted member of the Club, contributed funds for a scholarship for a student wishing to pursue a career in science; donations to the William and Betty Garwood Scholarship Fund established after Bill died enabled several additional scholarships to be awarded. Rotarian Bob Pluese and his wife made a substantial donation to the Foundation specifically to recognize the achievements of students pursuing vocational careers. A donation in memory of Judy Bean, sponsored by Rotarian Henry Bean and his family, funds scholarships for achievement in piano performance.  Scholarships in Engineering will be awarded in memory of Kenneth Hagerman, and are funded by donations by his family.  And, in 2017 the Margaret Bancroft Award for Special Education (or related field), was established.
The Foundation made its first awards – four scholarships of $1,000 each – in June 2002. Over the years, the number of scholarships awarded each year and the amount of the annual award have increased steadily.  To date (November 2019), the Foundation has awarded 115 scholarships with a total value of $215,000.
